In early December we ventured an hour north of Vienna, about 100 meters filled with cats and dogs and smelled like animals, cigarettes and cookies (the lady was smoking and baking at the same time - Gross!). Each of us quickly picked out our own kitty we wanted and we could not decide. Muzzy was the smallest, most timid, and honestly, the least healthy. In the end we picked her Mary took her to the vet the very next day since she was not in good shape. She had worms, fleas, was malnourished and had a cut on her neck. After a few days of TLC, medicine and a few more visits to the doctor, she made a great recovery and now runs the house! Mary wanted to name her Schmutzie (which means dirty in German) but we felt bad calling her "dirty." So, Bradley suggested Muzzy (pronounced Mutzie). We thought about Mozart but only if it was a boy, and Muzzy is a beautiful girl. You may have heard of the cartoon character called Muzzy from a children's foreign language program so it seemed appropriate. Since It rhymes with schmutzie it is perfect! So she is our little schmutzie Muzzy! Here are a few pics of our new family member!

These are from the first day with us and you can see she was pretty dirty and did not have much energy
This is about a week later and she is much stronger and happier!
She likes to look at the window into the front yard
She really enjoyed pouncing and playing paper on Christmas morning!
